The College was established in the year 1981 in the premises of Govt. Junior College to impart higher education to these rural destitute students who deprived of Higher Education. It is a co education College and steadily grows both in strength and academic programs. At the time of establishment, B.A. (HEP); B.Com General were started under S.V. University Tirupathi. In the academic year 1994-95 the science groups B.Sc (BZC&MPE) courses were started. The Govt.of Andhra Pradesh with a great foresight insisted on starting restructured course to rebuild the Govt. College with rejuvenated academic atmosphere, so we started B.Com Computer and B.Sc Computer Science (MPCS) in the Academic year 2008-2009. The Lecturers are striving hard in more pragmatic, competitive and creative way to augment the knowledge of the students.

The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh deliberately sanctioned an amount of Rs. 1, 00, 00,000/- for the construction of own building at Kammavaripalle village on the way to Badvel. We have shifted BZC & B.A Courses in the year 2009. After the lab construction the other groups B.Com General & B.Com Computer Applications, MPE& MPCS were shifted in the year 2010. The S.V.University has given permanent affiliation to all science groups as soon as we have shifted the college to the new buildings. The College has been included in UGC under section for 2(F) & 12(B) on 12th April 2010 after procurement of permanent building.

 

The institution besides providing regular stream of education, is also offering a unique opportunity to study through distance mode to these who are unable to join in the regular stream. The college has DR.B. R. Ambedkar Open University Study Centre No.163 started in 2005. Though the college was established in rural area, we started JKC Centre with 50 students in August, 2011 to improve soft skills and develop confidence in communicative skills which play a pivotal role for securing jobs in multinational companies.
